Covenant how come the 4th every one forgets those blankets those pox infected blankets given to Native Americans on that long cold train ride to the reservation in hope that they might die before reaching their assigned interment camp, thereby saving money.. And no one thinks of our slave owning founders who founded a nation of white people for white people built by slaves both black and white. A place where there was freedom of religion or to put it their way you were free to practice their religion or be outlasted, jailed and burned as a witch. And too many more wrongs that have been done past and present.. To me the 4th should be the day to say we did this and that wrong and now we know it and admit our errors and will strive to do better. To me that would be for better instead of glorying an untrue celebration of a fairytale past IE Washington cutting down a cherry tree and Lincoln freeing the slaves because he loved them. That's what I think we can not change if we do not acknowledge the past for what it was!
